Meurthe-et-Moselle. Eternal pollutants in water: "We have no PFAS in the water of the Soiron"

In the Grand Est region, the Regional Health Agency is conducting surveys of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl compounds), or perennial pollutants, in tap water. While red spots have led prefects to ban local water consumption, in Soiron, the warning lights are green.
"No, PFAS are not everywhere, not yet," says Kornelia Schlichting, director of the Soiron Water Syndicate. "It's true that when they are found, the situation is complicated. Treatment is expensive because they are not easy to remove from the water. But where we live, the quality of our tap water is very good and, above all, very well controlled."
